          12) cash prizes listed in US dollars

     The goal with a headline should always be to inform an artist
     that this particular item is NOT for them.  This reduces the amount
     of reading they have to do to find relevant competitions.

     By using the words CALL FOR ART you end up causing some number
     of sculptors to read your announcement until they discover it is
     a competition for painters.

     There is so much information on the Internet that the most valuable
     part of this service is to make it unnecessary for an artist to read
     most of what is available.

     So if you are looking for JUST painting and drawing then that is
     the best possible headline you can create.  Believe me, lots of
     sculptors and photographers and filmmakers, etc, will be grateful.

All artists residing in the United States are invited to enter its 31st Annual Art on Paper exhibition, a nationally-open, juried mixed media competition. Any 2- or 3-dimensional work on or of paper will be considered. Slide or digital submissions will be accepted.
