The phone rang today and I answered it and thought, for the first two
or three minutes, that it was you on the other end -- the voice was so
close that even when the speaker said, you don't know who this is, I
said, oh, sure I do.

Oops.

Turned out to be an airport director from Wisconsin calling about a
problem involving water rights.

So what =are= you up to these days?

Nothing incriminating, although we did go two rounds of "You don't know who 
this is," with me arguing (incorrectly) that I did...

Oh, and he said, "if this is how you greet old boyfriends (that is,
with such evident pleasure), I need to talk to your husband."

I am still web-less.  I just have e-mail access (which is distracting
enough), nothing else.  So whatever is at your web site, I don't get
to see.

Anything up with the usual suspects?  Or any other familiar folks?

A friend of mine down here was discussing the idea of a road trip to
Boston during the next six months or so.  I'll let you know if it
turns into anything more concrete....

Hi Richard,

Thanks for the genealogy links.  I still haven't explored the Internet
or WWW at all.  AOL has the world's slowest interface.  It took 45
minutes to fail to retrieve your pictures when I tried a month ago.  I
keep saying I'll sign up with a local provider, but haven't seen a
real need and haven't had the time or interest to indulge my very weak
whim.

Thanks also for the stamps.  I'm enjoying them.

We took another trip and Marsha has written a travelog.  If and when I
correct and revise it I'll send you a copy.
